Share it on a Sunday - Poinsettia Inlaid Embossed Birthday Card

 Hi Everyone,

It's Share it on a Sunday and this week the theme is 'inlaid embossing' and I've made a birthday card, let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of bumblebee card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of soft suede card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1 piece of whisper white 2 1/4" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and scraps
Scraps of designer series paper for fussy cutting (I've used Poinsettia Place)
A piece of daffodil delight ruched ribbon approx 12"
Well written dies
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Wrapped in texture embossing folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Mini glue dots
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Paper snips

Instructions

On the long side score the bumblebee card stock at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Fussy cut some flowers from the designer series paper and adhere them to the strip of whisper white.

Run the strip through the Stampin Cut and Emboss machine in the Wrapped in Texture embossing folder.

Adhere this strip to the soft suede piece leaving enough room above and below for the ribbon and the words.

Die cut the words in whisper white and then adhere them to the bottom of the soft suede card.

Wrap the ribbon around the top of the soft suede card and fix on the back with a piece of sticky tape.  Use the remainder to make a small bow and fix to the front with a mini glue dot.

Adhere the soft suede card to the card front and the remaining whisper white piece to the inside of the card.

Quick and easy technique card, give it a try.  Don't forget to click on the links below and see what Donna and Victoria have made this week.
