Hi Everyone,
I'm making Christmas cards at the moment so I thought that I would show you this design, It's really easy to do but can be used all year round for any designer series paper or occasion and doesn't use that much dsp. Let me show you how I made it.
Materials
1 piece of shaded spruce 6" x 12" card stock, 1 piece 1/2" x 12", 1 piece 3 1/4" square
4 pieces gold foil 2 7/8" x 5 7/8", 4 pieces 2 x 5 7/8", 2 pieces 1 3/8" x 5 7/8" and scraps for the trees
4 pieces whisper white card 1 3/4" x 5 5/8" , 1 piece 3" square
4 x 2 5/8" x 5 5/8" designer series paper
2 x 1 1/8" x 5 5/8" designer series paper
Perfectly Plaid stamp set
Shaded spruce ink
Multipurpose adhesive
Trimmer
Scoreboard
Bone folder
Pine Tree Punch
Instructions
Score the shaded spruce on the long side at 5 1/4" and 6 3/4", then flip over and score at 3" and 9".
Adhere all the designer series paper layers to the gold foil mats and then adhere them to the card base.
Stamp the tree three times towards the bottom of two of the whisper white layers, once full strength and then stamp off twice to give it some perspective and the trees look like they are further away. Now adhere these stamped layers to the remaining gold foil layers and add to the card.
Punch out 3 trees in gold foil and arrange on the inside panels of the card. You could also add another sentiment to the centre panel if you liked but I haven't bothered this time.
Stamp the sentiment on the whisper white square and repeat what you did with the trees, mount it on the shaded spruce square.
Wrap the belly band piece loosely around the card, don't score it. It doesn't overlap, it will just meet up in the middle. Add dimensionals to both ends (on the top) and then arrange your sentiment square centrally so that it sticks to the dimensionals. The belly band should slide easily off the card, don't make it too tight.
I hope that you like my card and will give it a try
Please hop over and see what my crafty colleagues have made, there is sure to be lots of inspiration from some very talented crafters.
