Hi Everyone,
Today I am hopping with my crafty colleagues in the Pootlers Team to showcase the beautiful new Curvy Celebrations Bundle. Let me show you how I made this pretty card.
Materials
1 piece of just jade card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" and scraps for the leaves
1 piece of whisper white card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
I dsp of dsp (I've used Ornate Garden) 4" x 5 7/8"
Scraps of bumblebee card stock
Curvy dies
Quite Curvy stamp set
Medium Daisy punch
Just jade ink
Gold glitter enamel dots
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Instructions
Score the just jade on the long side at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.
Position the dsp at one end of the card stock directly on top of the card and put the two of them together through the die cutting machine. This will make sure that the curve for the dsp is exactly the same as for the card and both layers will have the hole pattern along the edge (see picture).
Adhere the dsp to the card front leaving a border of about 1/2". I have the dsp completely covering the top half of the card front so if necessary, trim off the excess with paper snips.
Lay the whisper white layer inside the card - don't glue it yet in case you mess up the stamping. These long sentiments are already curved but you can position them to follow the curve if you need to alter the curve slightly as I have done. Lay it down on the whisper white layer where you want it to go and then pick it up with a block. Stamp the sentiment using just jade ink to match the card base.
Punch out two medium daisies in bumblebee and die cut 4 sets of leaves in just jade. Shape the petals on the daisies with your bone folder and adhere the two together offsetting the petals to make the flower look more full. Adhere to the card under the large curve on the inside layer of whisper white. Tuck the leaves in around the flower and add the enamel dot to the centre of the flower.
Give it a go and see what you can come up with, its a lovely bundle to work with.
Please make sure that you hop through the blogs and see what everyone else has made, you will get lots of inspiration from some very talented crafters.
