Golden Honey Valentine Treat Bag

Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a classy gold and black treat bag for you to give to your loved one on Valentine's Day.  This is Project No 31 of #31dayscraftchallenge, Hooray! I made it! If you would like to see any of the other projects  have made, click on the links in the right hand side bar.

Materials

1 piece of designer series paper 6" x 12"
Scrap of black card stock
Scrap of gold foil
Gold embossing powder
Embossing buddy
Heat Tool
Versamark ink
Detailed Hearts Die
Die cutting machine
Painted Labels dies
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Velcro dot
Heart to Heart stamp set
Detailed Trio Punch

Instructions

On the long side, score the dsp at 3 1/2", 5" and 8 1/2", then turn to the short side at score at 1 1/2" and 4 1/2", fold and carefully burnish all the score lines (the dsp is not as think as card and if you are too heavy handed it will tear).

Cut as shown in template (this is just some scrap dsp to show you what it should look like, its hard to see on the black and gold. Please excuse the messy desk and my feet in the shot.)).  The long tab on the right will be the flap on the front.

The small tabs in the centre of the two longer sections need to be wedged and then round the corners on the flap for the front of the bag.

Put adhesive on the inside of the smallest tabs and bring one of the sides round to meet it so that the cut edge of the side is level with the folded edge of the tab.  Then add adhesive to the inside of the other flaps and line them up on the outside of the previous one to make up the bag.  It will look better when its finished, if the folded edge is the one which shows at the front of the bag.

When the glue is dry, pinch the top of the back and front together, this will form a pleat down the side of the bag.  Add the fluffy side of the velcro dot to the inside edge of the front flap and add the hook side on the top of it and fold over to meet the front of the bag.  Then squeeze the two sides together to secure. Open and close a couple of times carefully to make sure that it is secure.

Die cut a swirl from the black card stock and the Painted Labels die.  For the gold hearts, I have run through the die cutting machine a small scrap of gold foil and the detailed hearts die.  I only wanted a couple of the hearts, but you could cut the whole thing and then use that to make a card.

Rub the embossing buddy over the black swirl and stamp a sentiment in the centre with Versamark ink, sprinkle with gold embossing powder and then set with the heat gun and leave to cool.  Add two of the golden hearts underneath the sentiment and then add the swirl to the front of the bag with dimensionals.  Fill with chocs or sweets or your choice. Mine will have mini Toblerones because they are my Husbands favourite.

Thoughtful Blooms Thank You Card

Hi Everyone,

I needed a Thank You card today so I have made one using the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set which is FREE during Saleabration (see below or contact me for details).  This is also Project No 30 in the #31dayscraftchallenge and because it uses three colours of ink, I'm also entering it into a 3 colour challenge on the Stamping For All Facebook Group.

Materials

1 piece of Melon Mambo card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of Whisper White card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
Scraps of Whisper White and Melon Mambo for the sentiment
7" piece of ribbon
Petal Pink ink
Melon Mambo ink
Lovely Lipstick ink
Thoughtful Blooms stamp set
Stitched so Sweetly dies
Die cutting machine
So Sentimental stamp set
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Clear Blocks

Instructions

Thoughtful Blooms has some lovely flourishes and small flowers and you can stamp as much or as little as you like to make your design.  There is no right or wrong way, just go with the flow.  First I stamped flourishes in Lovely Lipstick, then the larger flowers in Melon Mambo in the centre of the flourish.  I added some smaller Petal Pink flowers and then went back in with some Lovely Lipstick tiny flowers and added them to the flourishes.

Stamp a sentiment on the scrap of Whisper White and cut that out with the smaller die and use the larger one for the Melon Mambo layer.

Add the ribbon to the front of the whisper white layer and secure on the back, then adhere this layer to the card base.  Add the sentiment to the front using dimensionals.

I love how this turned out, I don't often so this sort of stamping but I really enjoyed it and this stamp set is lovely and I'm going to try it again soon.

I hope that you like this card and will give it a try yourself.

Happy Birthday To You Card

Hi Everyone,

I've been practising my stamping and colouring today, I don't do enough of it so I thought I would have a go with the fabulous FREE stamp set in the Sale-a-Bration brochure, spend £45 in either of the current catalogues and it can be yours FREE.

Materials

Whisper White card base
Happy Birthday To You stamp set
Inks of your choice
Blender Pen
Large block

Instructions

I used Rococco Rose to stamp the cake image and then I coloured in the flowers with the ink and a blender pen as I don't have the Stamping Blends in that colour.  It's really simple, you just dab the pen onto the ink pad and it picks up the ink for you to colour. When you have finished with that colour, just scribble on some scrap paper until it comes clear and you can then use the same pen to pick up a different colour.  I used Old Olive for the leaves, Lovely Lipstick for the berries and Daffodil Delight for the centre of the flowers and the cake stand.

Stamp a sentiment at the top, centre and one on the inside and the card is complete, easy.

So Inviting Wedding Invitation

Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a Wedding Invitation using some of the little cut outs from yesterdays Detailed Hearts Wedding Card as embellishments.  This is Project No. 28 of #31dayscraftchallenge, I hope that you like it.  The stamp set is very versatile and could be used to make invitations for any occasions.

Materials

1 piece of Whisper White card stock 4 1/8" x 5 7/8"
1 piece of Blushing Bride card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
So Inviting stamp set
Silver embossing powder
Embossing Buddy
Versamark ink
Heat Tool
Silver foil embellishments left over from the die I used on the wedding card
Scrap of pink ribbon to make a bow
Dimensionals
Glue dot
Detailed Trio Punch
Multipurpose adhesive

Instructions

Line up the elements from the stamp set that you want to include on the invitation on a large block.  This is a little bit fiddly but worth taking your time.

Rub the embossing buddy over the blushing bride card stock and then stamp with Versamark ink. Sprinkle with the silver embossing powder and then set with the heat tool, leave to cool.

Round the corners of the whisper white and the blushing bride card and then adhere them together.

Make a bow with the scrap of pink ribbon and add to the top of the card with a glue dot.

Add some of the little silver hearts to the top corners with glue and/or dimensionals and the invitation is complete.  This could easily be changed by using different coloured card and embossing powders.
