Lily Impressions Sympathy Card

Hi Everyone,

At some point in our lives, we all need to make a sympathy card, for this one, I've used the beautiful Lily Impressions designer series paper and sentiments from Timeless Tulips stamp set.  I hope that you like it.  This card is Project No 18 in the #31dayscraftchallenge that I am taking part in along with some of my fellow Scrimpies (check out #scrimpingmommy for more details).

Materials

Half a sheet of A4 pretty peacock card stock cut at 5 7/8" and folded in half at 4 1/4".
2 pieces of whisper white card stock 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1 piece of dsp 5 3/8" x 3 5/8"
1 piece of dsp 3 3/8" x 5 1/8"
1/2" Strip of dsp for the inside
Scraps of whisper white and pretty peacock for the sentiment
Piece of pretty peacock linen ribbon
Pretty peacock ink
Timeless Tulip stamp set
Stitched square dies
Die cutting machine
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

Stamp a sentiment on the piece of whisper white for the inside and glue the 1/2" strip along the right hand edge and then adhere this layer inside the card.

Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of whisper white and die cut with one of the stitched square dies, then die cut a slightly larger one from the pretty peacock.

Adhere the layers together starting with the whisper white, then the first dsp and then the second contrasting dsp.  Add the ribbon around the bottom third of these layers and adhere on the back with sticky tape, then glue the panel to the front of the card leaving a small border all around the edge.

Glue the stamped layer to the mat and adhere them over the ribbon, in the centre of the card using dimensionals.

Just because the card is for a sad reason, it doesn't mean it can't also be pretty, I hope that you agree.
