Peaceful Prints - Poinsettia Petals Christmas Card

 Hi Everyone,

It's the last day of Saleabration for this year and I'm using up some of the last few bits of the gorgeous Peaceful Prints designer series paper. I've teamed it with a old favourite - Poinsettia Petals to make a pretty Christmas card with some heat embossing and gold foil accents.

Materials

1 piece of thick white card stock 5 7/8" x full length of UK A4 (11 3/4")
1 piece of gold foil 5 5/8" square
1 piece of Peaceful Prints dsp 5 3/8" square
Scraps of basic black and gold foil cards
Metallics embossing powders
Versamark ink
Memento black ink
Heat Tool
Poinsettia Petals stamp set
Stitched So Sweetly dies
Poinsettia dies
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side score the white card at 5 7/8" and fold and burnish to make a square card.

Stamp a sentiment on the inside of the card using Memento black ink.

Adhere the gold foil and the dsp to the card front.

Stamp the three layers of flower and the sentiment on the scraps of basic black card with Versamark ink and then sprinkle with gold embossing powder. Set with the Heat Tool.

Die cut the flowers and the sentiment from the black card and two leaves, flower centre and two sprigs of holly from the gold foil.

Arrange the flower layers one on top of the other and adhere together, then add to the card front, pull up the petals on the smaller layers to give the flower some dimension, or you can curl the petals with your bone folder before you stick them together.  Only add glue in the centre of the largest flower layer so that you can tuck the leaves and holly sprigs in around it.  Add the flower centre and then add dimensionals to the sentiment and add to the top right hand corner of the card front.

I hope that you managed to get your hands on some of this lovely designer series paper and if you didn't, you can still place orders up to 11pm (UK) today, this dsp is free with a qualifying purchase.

Instructions

On the long side score the card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Adhere the dsp to the card front.

Die cut 3 different sizes of stars in each of the colours so that they will layer up on top of each other and cut one more of the largest in coastal cabana.  Adhere the layers together and arrange in the bottom half of the card front.  I've added dimensionals to one set. Adhere the single one at the top right.

Stamp the sentiment and die cut with the long label die from Floral Gallery dies. Stamp another sentiment on the remaining white card for the inside of the card and adhere in place.

Add dimensionals to the back of the label and arrange across the single star.
