#4 - Buckle Fold Card

Materials

1 piece of Whisper White Thick card stock 10 1/4" x 5 3/4" and 1 1/2" x 5 1/2"
1 piece of Daffodil Delight 4 1/8" x 5 5/8" , 1 5/8" x 5 5/8"and 1 3/4" x 4 1/2"
1 piece of dsp 3 7/8" x 5 3/8"
Scraps of Real Red and Whisper White for the sentiment
Love What You Do stamp set
Real Red ink
Classic Label punch
Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder
Die Cutting machine
2" circle punch
Starburst punch
Dimensionals
Multipurpose adhesive
Trimmer
Simply Scored

Instructions

Score the whisper white card on the long side at 4 3/8" and fold and burnish.

Run the 1 1/2" white and 1 3/4" wide daffodil delight strips of card stock  through the die cutting machine using the embossing folder, then score the daffodil delight one at 1/2" on the long side to form a tab.

Adhere the daffodil delight mat and the dsp layer to the front of the card. With the opening edge of the card pushed right into the classic label punch, make sure its centralised from the top and the bottom, punch through all three layers, this gives the opening to feed the closing flap through.

Adhere the embossed white strip to the remaining daffodil delight strip and then fold the daffodil embossed layer around it so that it is level with the punched opening on the card front. Make a little mark on the side of the embossed card layer and then glue the flap at this point, wrapping the tab to the back of the strip.  Then adhere the whole lot to the inside right hand side of the inside of the card so that it shows alongside the card front when it is closed.  Feed the end of the flap through the punched out hole so that it lies inside the card.

Stamp a sentiment on the inside of the card and also one on a scrap of whisper white in Real Red and then using the 2" circle punch, punch out the one for the front of the card.  Punch out a starburst from the scrap of real red and glue them both together.

With the flap through the hole in the front of the card, add the circle sentiment in position using dimensionals so that it covers the hole you have punched in the card.

Another quick and simple fun fold card, I hope that you like it.

Best Dressed Hexagon Treat Bag

Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a cute hexagon treat bag for a Mother's Day treat.  These are quick and easy to make and can be used for any occasion, great for craft fairs, teacher gifts or just as little extras for someone special.

Materials

1 piece of card stock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (I've used highland heather)
2 pieces of dsp 3 3/8" x 1 7/8" (I've used Best Dressed dsp)
Scraps of whisper white for the sentiment
Scrap of silver foil
Small piece of ribbon for the tie (I've used daffodil delight ruched ribbon)
Dressed to Impress stamp set
Painted labels dies
2" circle punch
Highland heather ink
Daffodil Delight ink
Bone folder
Scoreboard
Trimmer
Ruler
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side score the card stock at 2", 4", 6", 8" and then turn on to the short side and score at 2", fold and burnish all the straight lines.

Put the card stock flat on the table and with a ruler score diagonal lines across the 2nd and 4th large rectangles at the top section of the card stock in both directions to form a cross. Then score a line from the centre of the cross to the top of the card stock (these are all fold lines).

Remove the bottom skinny rectangle and wedge the upper skinny rectangle - this will form the tab to close the box.

Cut up the other score lines to the middle on the lower section of the card stock, these will form the bottom flaps of the box.

At this point add the dsp to the upper rectangles that have not been scored.

Fold in the two side flaps and the back one too and then adhere the front flap closed to seal the base of the box.

Push in on the two sides of the box at the top and it should fold together so that the side sections pop out into the hexagon shape (see the picture).

If you are closing the bag with ribbon, punch out in the centre at the top with the 1/8" hole punch and thread the ribbon through and tie in a bow.  If not, it can be secured with a library clip.

Stamp the sentiment on the scrap of whisper white and add a couple of flowers, above and below the sentiment and then punch out with the circle punch.

Die cut the swirl from the painted Labels dies in the silver foil.  Add the sentiment to the centre of the swirl and adhere to the front of the bag with dimensionals.

There you go, a quick and simple gift bag, hope you will give it a try.  There is a video tutorial of another one of these that I made on my YouTube channel which has different papers and decoration, click the link below to see that one:

Under My Umbrella Window Box Card

Hi Everyone,

Today I am showing you this window box card that I made for a challenge to make a WOW project. I've used the Under My Umbrella stamp set and punch and fussy cut lots of flowers and wellies.  I hope that you like it.

Materials

2 pieces of granny apple green card stock 4" x 6" and 2 pieces 1" x 4 1/2" for the crossbars
2 pieces of dsp 1 7/8" x 6 1/2" (I have used the wood grain dsp from Pressed Petals)
2 pieces of contrasting dsp 1 7/8" square and 1 piece 3 3/8" x 1 7/8"
1 piece of whisper white 3 3/8" x 3 7/8" and 1 piece 2" x 3 3/8"
4 umbrellas punched out of the Pleased as Punch dsp
Umbrella punch
Under My Umbrella stamp set
Thoughtful Blooms stamp set
3D Tufted embossing folder
Scraps of whisper white for the stamping
A selection of Stampin Blends to colour in the flower and wellington images (I haven't listed the colours, just use whatever you have).
Stitched So Sweetly dies
Die Cutting machine
Old Olive ink
memento Black ink
Mini dimensionals
Multipurpose adhesive

Instructions

Score the granny apple green card stock on the long side at 2" and 5 1/2" and then on the short side at 2". Score the cross bar pieces at 1/2" from each end.

Cut up all  the horizontal score lines to the centre score line on both pieces of card and remove the longer skinny rectangle at the end and wedge the lower half of that section to make a tab.

Fold and burnish all the score lines but leave the centre one on one of the them to form the back of the card.

Attach the two pieces together by glueing the tabs to the other section to form a box. Fold and burnish the score lines on the cross bars and add glue to the tabs and  insert into the centre of the box approximately 1/3 and 2/3 of the section so that they are equally spaced between each other and the front and back of the card.

Glue the two strips of dsp together to make one long strip and attach to the base of the box, wrapping it around and pinching at the corners to make the creases.  The aim is to make this look like a wooden window box. Overlap the ends and glue in place. Add the contrasting dsp panels to the three remaining flaps around the card.

Adhere the smaller piece of whisper white to the back of the card above the wooden dsp, this is the place to write the message.

Put the larger piece of whisper white in the Tufted Embossing folder and run it through the die cutting machine, then adhere it in place on the inside back of the card.  My aim was for this to look like a trellis in a garden.  With the tiny flower from the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set, stamp a flower where the tiny circles are in the crossover sections of the diamond shapes.  I wanted this to look like flowers growing on the trellis.

Stamp out lots of the flowers and 3 pairs of wellingtons and colour them in with the Stampin Blends.

Punch out the umbrellas from the Pleased as Punch dsp and glue the handles in place.

Arrange the wellingtons, flowers and umbrellas on the card as shown using mini dimensionals, make sure that you add some to both of the crossbars as well as the inside of the front edge and on the back trellis section.

Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of whisper white and die cut with the scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly set.

I also made a different version of this card in January 2019, check it out, that one might give you more ideas for window boxes of your own.
