Today I've been playing with the new dsp that co-ordinates with the new punches that are available in the Mini Catalogue. It co-ordinates with the Small Blooms, Umbrella, Heart and Tulip punches but the images would be simple enough to fussy cut if you didn't have them. It's bright and colourful and I've been colouring with Stampin Blends as well.
Materials
1 x 6" x 12" piece of whisper white card stock for the base
1 x 6" square piece of whisper white for the front
2 x 5 3/4" square silver foil
2 x 5 1/2" square dsp, I've used the reverse of the punch dsp (one looks a bit like grass and the other is raindrops)
I've punched out some umbrellas and small blossoms from the dsp
2 scraps of silver foil for the sentiment mats
2 scraps of whisper white for the sentiments and the flowers and wellingtons
Assorted Stampin Blends/colouring pencils to colour the flowers
Balmy Blue ink
Memento Black ink
Stitched So Sweetly dies
Die cutting machine
Umbrella punch
Small Blooms punch
Rhinestones
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Instructions
On the long side, score the 6" x 12" piece at 6" and 9" and fold and burnish to make a mountain, this is what the card front will be attached to to make the easel.
Adhere the silver foil and the dsp layers to the base of the card and the separate piece of 6" x 6" whisper white which is the front. Then adhere the front to the mountain remembering to only put glue on the bottom half of the 6" piece. When you have done this, it should all fold flat as a 6" square card.
Stamp some flowers and the wellingtons on to the scraps of whisper white with memento black ink and colour them in using the blends or pencils whichever you prefer. Then fussy cut them out for decorating the card.
Stamp the sentiments in balmy blue on another scrap of whisper white and die cut them using the scalloped rectangles in the Stitched So Sweetly die set, die cut larger ones for mats from the silver foil. Add the sentiment to the silver foil layers using dimensionals and then add to the card, also using dimensionals. Place one in the centre of the front and the other in the centre of the base about 1/3rd of the way back so that the easel front can be propped behind it.
Punch/or fussy cut some of the umbrellas and the small blooms and arrange them on the front of the card with dimensionals and/or adhesive. Add the flowers and the wellingtons and then finish off with some rhinestones in the centre of the flowers.
I hope you like this card and will give it a try.
