Today I have made a joy fold card (not sure why it is called that!) using the fabulous Best Dressed designer series paper and the Dressed to Impress stamp set and dies. This card, I think, would be ideal for a teenage girl.
Materials
1 piece of purple posy card stock 4 1/4" x 9 3/8"
1 piece of purple posy card stock 3 1/4" x 8 1/2"
1 piece of dsp 4" x 6" and 1 piece 3" x 4"
2 pieces of contrasting dsp 2 7/8" x 4"
1 piece of contrasting dsp 3" x 4"
Scraps of whisper white, silver foil and purple posy for stamping and sentiments
Gray Granite ink
Lovely Lipstick ink
Velcro dot
Dimensionals
Dressed to Impress stamp set
All Dressed Up dies
Die cutting machine
Trimmer
2" and 2 1/4" circle punches
Light Lovely Lipstick blend
Multipurpose adhesive
Instructions
Score the larger piece of card stock on the long side at 6 1/4" and the smaller one at 4 1/4", fold and burnish to make the two card base shapes.
Adhere all the dsp layers to both cards.
With the main card flap opening to the left, adhere the smaller section to the inside of the card base, opening to the right. When they are both closed, the smaller right hand one will close over the larger card. (see picture).
Stamp out sentiments and images on scraps of purple posy and/or whisper white and then die cut or punch them out. Stamp a sentiment on the inside of the smaller card and add any die cut images.
Add the sentiment layer to the silver foil layer with multipurpose adhesive and add dimensionals to the back right hand side as you look at it and then adhere the circle to the front flap of the card so that it overlaps onto the left hand flap. Add dimensionals to the perfume bottle die cut and add to the front of the card.
Add a velcro dot to the back of the overhanging piece of the circle sentiment and the left hand flap of the card, this will keep it closed (if required, it's not essential).
I hope you like this cute card.
