Gift Card Pocket

Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a quick gift card pocket using the Come Sail Away dsp and the Delightful Day stamp set, (I have used a business card for the moment because I don't have the gift card for it yet). This is Project No 16 of #31dayscraftchallenge.

Materials

1 piece of designer series paper 9 1/4" x 6"
1 piece of Night of Navy card stock 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
1 piece of Seaside Spray card stock 3 3/4" x 5"
Scraps of Seaside Spray and silver foil for the sentiment
Delightful Day stamp set
Night of Navy ink
2" circle punch
Stitched rectangle dies
Die cutting machine
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals/glue dots

Instructions

On the long side, score the dsp at 2 3/4" and 7", then turn and on the short side, score at 5/8", lightly fold and burnish.

There is a long thin rectangle at either side of the centre section at the bottom which need to be removed, then wedge either side of the remaining centre section.

Fold the two side pieces over and secure with adhesive, then fold up the bottom tab and secure in place over the top, this forms the pocket. With the circle punch, cut out a finger pull at the top, centre of the pocket (see picture).

Stamp a sentiment on the seaside spray card stock which is going on the inside card and remember to make sure that the sentiment won't show when the card is inside the pocket. Make sure that you also leave enough room at the bottom to secure your gift card.

Adhere the sentiment layer to the night of navy mat and secure the gift card with a couple of dimensionals or glue dots.  Slide the card inside the pocket.

Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of seaside spray and cut out using one of the stitched rectangle dies.  Cut out a mat from the silver foil that is slightly larger and adhere the two together and then glue them to the front of the pocket.

This project can be decorated as much or as little as you like.  I have gone for a minimal version as it's for my Grandson who doesn't like anything fussy.
