Best Dressed Panel Card and Matching Gift Bag

Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a card and matching gift bag using the dies from the fabulous Best Dressed Suite of products from Stampin'Up!. I love this designer series paper, it's so pretty, lots of floral patterns but also cute perfume bottles, lipsticks and shoes, it's great fun.

Materials

1 piece of Lovely Lipstick card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
Scraps of Lovely Lipstick card stock for the bag handles and pocket.
1 piece of Whisper White card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" for the inside of the card
3 pieces of Old Olive card stock 13/4" x 3 7/8" for the panels
1 piece of Old Olive card stock 2" x 3 1/2" for the sentiment mat
3 pieces of dsp 1 1/2" x 3 5/8" for the panels
Half a sheet of dsp for the bag and the buttons
Lovely Lipstick ink
Dressed to Impress stamp set
All Dressed Up dies
Stitched rectangle dies
Die cutting machine
Multipurpose adhesive
Tear n Tape
Dimensionals

Instructions

Using the dies, cut out 2 of the bag panel pieces and 4 buttons from the dsp and two handles and a pocket from scraps of Lovely Lipstick card stock.

The bag panel pieces are all scored for you so you just need to fold and burnish them carefully with your fingers as the dsp is more delicate that card stock. Adhere the two sections together with the side tabs, then pinch the bag together at the top folding the sides along the score lines.  The bottom of the bag folds like a box so put the two small tabs in and then fold the large tabs over the top adding glue to the final layer forming the bag.

Curve the handles with a bone folder and adhere them to the front and bag of the bag using tear n tape, then add the buttoms if required, again with tear n tape.  The bag sides will fold inwards to make more of a handbag shape, or outwards to make more of a tote bag shape, whichever you prefer.

Fold and burnish the card base in half to make a tent fold, landscape card. Adhere the dsp layers to the Old Olive mats and then adhere them to the front of the card, spacing them evenly across the card front.

Stamp a sentiment and decoration on the inside whisper white layer and then adhere to the inside of the card.

Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of whisper white card snd then die cut with a stitched rectangle die. Then die cut a mat layer from a larger stitched rectangle in Old Olive.  Adhere the sentiment layer to the mat and then fix this to the front of the card using dimensionals.

Another quick and simple card with a pretty matching gift bag for some little treats.

I hope you like this project and that you will give it a try.
