Hi Everyone,
I've been playing with the new Christmas Lights stamp set from the July-December Mini Catalogue and used the snowflakes to randomly stamp on a piece of Tahitian Tide card stock to make a pretty box that can be used as a party favour or you could hang them on your tree at Christmas. Let me show you how I made it.
Materials
1 piece of card stock 8 1/4" x 4"
Tahitian Tide ink
Tahitian Tide Glitter Ribbon
Christmas Lights stamp set
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Tear and Tape
Instructions
Randomly stamp your design all over the card stock BEFORE scoring.
On the short side score at 2", then turn and on the long side score at 2", 4", 6" and 8". Make a mark along the top at 1", 3", 5" and 7" and then make the diagonal scores as shown from these marks to the corners on each section.
Cut as in the picture.
Add tear and tape to the little tab on the outside and bring the other side over to fasten it to make the box shape. Fold in the 4 flaps on the bottom, adding tear and tape to the inside of the last one and seal shut.
Push in the diagonal scores and this will form a star shape, fold on the outer folds to reinforce the shape.
Punch two small holes at the top next to the point of the triangles, one front and one back to thread the ribbon through to close it.
Add the ribbon and tie in a bow. You could add a loop of ribbon through in addition to this to hang on the tree.
