Hi Everyone,
For 3D Thursday this week, I have made a Pinwheel Gift Card Holder using the lovely Orchid Oasis Designer Series papers and the Charming Sentiments Bundle. This could easily be replicated in any colour and with ant designer series papers and stamp sets, it's very versatile. Let me show you how I made it.
Materials
1 piece of orchid oasis card stock 4 1/2" x 4 1/4, 4 pieces 2 3/4" x 4 1/2"
4 pieces of dsp 1 1/2" x 4 1/4", 4 pieces 2 1/2" x 4 1/4", 1 piece 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" (for the pocket)
Scraps of basic white and silver foil for stamping and punching out stars
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Charming Sentiments stamp set
Sentiment Silhouette dies
Starlit Punch
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Orchid Oasis ink
Tear and Tape
Instructions
On the 4 1/2" side. score the largest piece of card stock at 1", 2", 3" and 4", fold and burnish, this forms the central tube. Add tear and tape to the outside of the tab and then fold the opposite side over and seal it to make the tube.
Adhere the rest of the card stock pieces in turn working your way around the tube, line up the edge of each piece with the edge of the tube and fix in place, this then forms the pinwheel shape when you look down from the top.
Adhere the dsp pieces to both sides of each section, I've used all four of the patterns.
Decide which side the pocket is going and if you have a small punch, punch out a notch at the top (see picture), add a very thin bead of glue around the edge and adhere to the panel, lining up with the dsp, this forms the pocket to add the gift card.
Stamp the sentiments on a scrap of basic white and die cut with the silhouette dies and fix in place with dimensionals.
Punch out some small stars and adhere them on the two panels with sentiments and the gift card holder is complete.
