Awash in Beauty Charming Sentiments Faux Centre Step Card - Kylie's International Blog Highlights June 2022

 Hi Everyone,

I'm taking part in Kylie's International Blog Highlights this month and I have made a Faux Centre Step Card using the fabulous Awash in Beauty designer series papers and the Charming Sentiments bundle. I love making fun fold cards and this one is really simple and looks so pretty too. Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock 10" x 4 1/8", 1 piece 8 1/4" x 2 3/4"

1 piece of dsp 2 1/2" x 5 1/4", 1 piece 1 1/4" x 4", 2 pieces 3/4" x 3 1/4"

Scraps of blackberry bliss and basic white for the sentiment

1 piece of 3 7/8" x 3 1/4" basic white card

Blackberry bliss ink

Charming Sentiments stamp set

Sentiment Silhouette dies

Stampin' Cut & Emboss

Simply Scored

Instructions

Score the card base on the long side at 3 1/2", 7" and 8 1/2" and fold and burnish into an M shape (mountain, valley, mountain). Score the smaller piece on the long side at 3".

Add the smaller strips of contrast dsp across the bottom section and at the sides of the larger piece (see picture).

Add the dsp to the long section of the remaining piece. Add dimensionals along the bottom edge and fix to the front piece of the M shape so that it is flush with the bottom and central.  Then add some adhesive to the inside of the folded over section and adhere to the back of the card (see picture).

Stamp a sentiment and die cut with the outline shape and add to the card front on dimensionals.  Stamp another sentiment on the inside of the card and decorate if required.
