Awash in Beauty Double Flap Fold Card - Birds Fun Fold Friday

 Hi Everyone,

I've made a Double Flap Fold card today for our Fun Fold Friday series using the lovely Awash in Beauty and I've teamed it with the Quiet Meadow stamp set and dies to make a sympathy card. No-one likes to make them, but we all need them occasionally so I like to have a couple in my stash.

Materials

1 piece of mossy meadow card stock 5 7/8" x 10", 1 piece 3" x 7"
2 pieces of basic white card 2 3/4" x 3 1/4", 1 piece 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of dsp 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 1 1/4" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 2 3/4" x 3 1/4", 1 piece 1" x 5 5/8"
Piece of ribbon 16" (approx) - I used Old Olive
Meadow dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine
Quiet Meadow stamp set
Mossy Meadow ink
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Multipurpose Adhesive
Tear and Tape
Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side score the large piece of mossy meadow card at 4 1/8" and 8 1/2" and fold and burnish to make the card base. Score the smaller one on the long side at 3 1/2" and fold and burnish to make the small card which sits on the front.

Stamp the sentiment on one of the smaller pieces of basic white and adhere to the inside of the smaller card, remember that this is opening the opposite way.  Add the remaining piece of white to the other inside piece of the smaller card.  Stamp on the scrap of basic white and die cut with the label die from Meadow dies.  Stamp on the large piece of basic white for the inside.  I haven't added any further sentiments, but I have added a 1" strip of dsp. Adhere to the inside of the card.

Adhere the large dsp piece to the left hand side of the front and the strip to the narrow piece on the right.

Adhere the ribbon on the front of the small card using tear and tape, make sure that there is enough at the left hand edge to tie the bow.  The rest of it will go around the back of the large card to meet it on the left of the card.

Add the remaining dsp layer to the small card over the top of the ribbon to hide it.

Tie a bow on the left of the card and trim off any excess ribbon.

I hope that you like this card and will give it a try.
