Share it on a Sunday - CASE Donna Lester - Sketch Challenge Card

 Hi Everyone,

This week we are CASEing each other again and it's my turn to CASE Donna. Last year Donna set a challenge for the 3 of us which involved 33 sketch challenges and it took us quite a while to get through them all, but we did. For one of them, Donna made a card using the Playful Pets dsp, I'm going to recreate it but I'm going to use the Sweet Stockings dsp and make it a Christmas card. Let me show you how I made it.

This is a picture of the card that Donna made

Materials

1 piece of evening evergreen card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of cherry cobbler card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8",  2 1/2" square,  2 1/4" x 3 /4"
1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1/2" x 2"
1 piece of dsp 2 1/4" square, 1 1/4" x 2 1/8", 1 1/4" x 3 1/4", 2 1/8" x 3 1/4", 2 1/8" square
Cherry cobbler ink
Heartfelt Wishes stamp set
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side, score the evening evergreen at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Adhere the dsp pieces to the cherry cobbler mats lining them up so that they have equal borders.

Adhere the large mat to the card front and then add the small one to the centre of the card front on dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment on the scrap of basic white and then layer that on to the scrap of cherry cobbler and add to the card front towards the bottom.

Stamp another sentiment on the remaining white piece (or decorate) and then adhere to the inside of the card.

Sketches are a great way to use up scraps and to get your crafty mojo going, why don't you give this one a try.
