Hi Everyone,
Today I am hopping with the lovely Crafty Collaborations Group for the Stampin Dreams Blog Hop. The theme is 'Step it Up' so I have made three cards, one for the beginner stamper who has limited supplies one for the casual crafter who probably has more and one for the avid crafter who will have all sorts of things that they can throw at a card haha. I've used the Pansy Petals Suite of products because it's my favourite, I hope you enjoy them.
Materials
Each card uses the same basic pieces:
1 piece of thick white card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of fresh freesia card stock 3 1/2" x 4 1/2"
1 piece of dsp 2" x 4", 1 piece 3" square
Scraps of white and fresh freesia card stock for the sentiments
Fresh Freesia ink
Pansy Patch stamp set
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Paper snips
Additional supplies:
2021-2023 In colour jewels
Fresh Freesia open weave ribbon
Stampin' Cut and emboss machine
Stitched So Sweetly dies
Pansy Dies
Scraps of soft succulent, fresh freesia and white card stock for the sentiment mats and die cuts
Bark 3D Embossing Folder
Instructions
On the long side score the thick white card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.
Adhere the fresh freesia card to the centre of the card front, add the 2" strip of dsp across the centre of the card and then add the square piece over the top.
Stamp a sentiment on a 1/2" scrap of white card and cut the ends diagonally, lay on top of a 3/4" strip of fresh freesia and trim to match.
Make the card base as above.
Emboss the coloured card stock and then add to the card front as the 1st card.
Add the strip of dsp with dimensionals and then adhere the square piece on top.
Die cut the label dies and stamp the sentiment on the white one. Add some jewels for added bling and adhere to the centre of the card.
Make as above but before you adhere the embossed layer, wrap the ribbon around it and tie a bow, position this towards the bottom of the embossing.
Adhere the embossed layer and add the dsp layers as before.
Die cut a sentiment label in fresh freesia and the pansy in fresh freesia and white and the leaves in soft succulent and white. Glue the layers of the flower together.
Stamp a sentiment at the bottom of the label die cut and then add the flower above with the leaves tucked under the petals at each side. Add this to the card front with dimensionals and add some bling.
As you can see, each card has used more equipment or embellishment as this obviously develops the longer that you are a crafter. It's a very simple card design that is so simple to step up, give it a try and see what you can make too.
