Framed Occasions - Stamping With Friends Blog Hop - New Annual Catalogue

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am hopping with the lovely Stamping With Friends group and we are playing with goodies from the new Annual Catalogue.  I've just got my order and so thought I would just do some simple stamping to see what the Framed Occasions is like. I really like it and it goes really well with the Beautiful Shapes dies. Let me show you what I made.

Materials

1 piece of bermuda bay card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", 1 piece 3/4" x 5 5/8"
2 pieces of basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", scrap for the die cut hexagon
Framed Occasions stamp set

So Saffron ink

Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side score the bermuda by card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Lay one of the pieces of basic white on your grid paper and put a 3/4" strip of copy paper/waste card across the centre and tape it down at either end to keep it in place while you stamp your design.

Stamp your design above and below the strip making sure that the bottom of stems fall on the strip. That way, all the untidy bits and pieces will be covered by your strip of card stock going across the card.  When you are happy with it, peel away the temporary strip and adhere the strip of bermuda bay card in its place.

Add this layer to the card front.

Stamp a sentiment on the remaining piece of white and some flowers if you like and adhere to the inside of the card.

Die cut the largest hexagon in white card and then stamp the hexagon and sentiment on it in bermuda bay ink (see picture).  Add this to the card front over the top of the strip at the right hand side.

Sprinkle some rhinestones and butterflies and the card is complete.

Please pop over and see what everyone else has been playing with and prepare to add to your wishlist, I know I will be doing.
