Hues of Happiness Congratulations Fun Fold Card - Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am hopping with the lovely Stamping With Friends Group and the theme is 'Bouquet of Flowers'. I have chosen to make a Bridge Fold Card and have the flowers 'floating' on acetate across the card to form the bridge.  The card was inspired by one I saw on Mixed Up Crafters. I have made many bridge fold cards in the past but never used acetate on them and I really like the effect of the 'floating flowers', I hope that you do too.

Materials

1 piece of thick basic white 7" x 7"
1 piece of Hues of Happiness dsp 2 7/8" x 6 7/8", 2 pieces 7/8" x 6 7/8"
1 piece of acetate 5" x 7"
Scrap of basic white card for stamping sentiment
Scraps of the dsp to fussy cut/die cut flowers
Happiness Abounds stamp set
Blossoming Happiness dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Floral Gallery Dies
Paper Snips
Glossy Dots
Starry Sky ink
Tear and Tape
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

Score the card at 1" and 2" from either end and fold and burnish to make the card base (mountain, valley, valley, mountain).

Adhere the dsp to the inside section.

Add Tear and Tape down the outer edges of the pillars and then adhere the acetate sheet, first to one side and fold flat and then add to the outer edge of the other pillar, making sure that the card will fold flat to go in the envelope.

Adhere the two strips of dsp over the pillars to cover the acetate.

Now you can die cut images from the dsp or fussy cut as you like. I have fussy cut and used up some of the edge pieces too so as not to waste them.  Arrange them across the acetate from corner to corner and when you are happy with the layout, adhere them in place using dimensionals.

Stamp a sentiment on the scrap of basic white using the starry sky ink and die cut with the banner from Floral Gallery dies.

Add Glossy Dots to the centres of the large flowers and sprinkle a few additional ones around the card front.  You can write a message on the back section.
