Summer Shadow Beautifully Penned Joy Fold Card

 Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a fun fold card for a special friend for her birthday. I love to make fun fold cards and this is one of the easiest ones to make. I wanted to use up some more of the lovely Beautifully Penned dsp (FREE with a qualifying order from Stampin' Up!) and I am obsessed with the Summer Shadow dies and the Shaded Summer stamp set. There is a video tutorial over on my YouTube channel too, click on the link below to watch how I made this card:

Instructions

Score the largest piece of black card on the long side at 6 1/4" and the smaller one at 4 1/4", fold and burnish both to make the card bases.

Add the dsp layers to the larger card.

Add the dsp and basic white layers to the smaller card, remembering that this opens the opposite way to the larger one.

Die cut one each of the solid flower images in so saffron, two sets of solid leaves in granny apple green and then all of the intricate dies in basic black. Layer the intricate images over the top of the solid as in the photos.

Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of so saffron using memento black ink and also stamp on the inside of the smaller card.

Adhere the smaller card to the back layer so that it folds over the flap of the larger layer - see picture.

Arrange the flowers and leaves on the smaller card front. Punch out the sentiment using the double oval punch and layer together and add to the card front with dimensionals.

Sprinkle with rhinestones and the card is finished, I hope you like it.
