Beautifully Penned Thank You Card - Stamping With Friends Blog Hop - Colouring

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am hopping with the lovely Stamping With Friends group and the theme is 'Colouring'. Those of you who follow me will know that it's not something that I do a lot of but I am trying to do more. I've coloured this pretty FREE Beautifully Penned designer series paper (free with a £45 purchase) and teamed it with the Hand Penned Petals and Shaded Summer stamp sets with a little heat embossing. Let me show you what I did.

1 piece of thick basic white card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of balmy blue card stock 2 1/4" x 4", 1 piece 3/4" x 2 7/8"
1 piece of dsp to colour 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1 piece for the mat 2" x 3 3/4"
Scrap of dsp to fussy cut a flower
Balmy blue Stampin' Blends
Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends
White embossing powder
Versamark ink
Heat Tool
Basic rhinestones
Hand Penned Petals stamp set
Shaded Summer stamp set
Paper Snips
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Bone Folder

Instructions

I have coloured all of the space around the floral images in this piece of dsp using Balmy Blue blends.  Then I fussy cut one of the flower images and coloured that in Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green.

Stamp a flower on the inside of the card using Balmy Blue ink and stamp a sentiment.

Stamp the sentiment for the front of the card on the strip of card using Versamark and then sprinkle with the white powder and set with the Heat Tool.

Add the coloured dsp to the card front.  Add the smaller dsp piece to the Balmy Blue mat and fix to the left hand side of the card front.  Adhere the coloured in floral image to this layer and then add the embossed sentiment across the bottom of the mat. Fix with adhesive on the side touching the mat and add a dimensional under the other end to keep it straight.

Sprinkle some rhinestones and the card is done, very easy and I think quite effective, what do you think?
