Scrapbusting - True Love Birthday Card

 Hi Everyone,

I am on a mission to use up my scraps of designer series paper before the launch of the new Annual Catalogue in May 2021. I've made a pretty birthday card with scraps of dsp, the sentiment is from a retiring set and the punch is retiring too so they are all getting a last outing. Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of melon mambo card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", 1 piece 3 1/4" x 4 1/8"
3 pieces of co-ordinating dsp, 1 x 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1 x 3" x 3 3/4" and 1 x 2 3/4" x 3 5/8"
A flower fussy cut from another scrap of this dsp
1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" for the inside and a scrap for the sentiument
Posted for you stamp set
Classic label punch
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Paper snips

Instructions

On the long side, score the melon mambo card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make a portrait card base.

Add the largest dsp layer to the card front leaving a small border all around.

The sizes of dsp I have used are just what I had, so use what you have. Layer up the smallest dsp layer on top of the slightly larger one and then add them to the smaller piece of melon mambo card.  Add dimensionals to the back and add to the card front in the centre.

Fussy cut a floral image from the dsp and add to the centre of the matting layers with more dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment in melon mambo ink on the scrap of white card and then punch out with the classic label punch and add underneath the flower.

Quick and easy card using up your scraps, give it a try.
