Hi Everyone,
Today's card is one that I made for a Sketch Challenge in the InspireINK Group for a blog hop. The new Annual Catalogue is about to launch very soon so I am giving some of my retiring stamp sets a last outing. I've used Flowering Blooms and teamed it with a sentiment from Forever Fern (which is not retiring - hooray!) in night of navy and balmy blue. Let me show you how I made it.
Materials
1 piece of night of navy card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and 3 pieces 1 1/4" x 3"
Scrap of balmy blue card
Flowering Blooms stamp set
Balmy blue ink
Night of navy ink
4" piece of misty moonlight ribbon
2" circle punch
Blender pen
Forever fern stamp set
Dimensionals
Multipurpose adhesive
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Basic rhinestones
Instructions
On the long side, score the night of navy card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.
Stamp the floral image on each of the three pieces of basic white and at either side of the larger piece of white for the inside of the card using balmy blue ink.
Using a blender pen, colour the floral images on the three smaller pieces (you could use Stampin' Blends if you have them but I don't have them in this colour). I just dip the nib of the pen in the ink pad to pick up some colour. I didn't colour the images on the inside, I left them as outlines for contrast.
Following the sketch above, arrange the three stamped images on the card front and adhere in place. Then adhere the larger piece to the inside of the card.
Stamp the sentiment in night of navy on a 2" circle of balmy blue card.
Fold the ribbon in half and trim the ends at an angle and fix to the back of the stamped circle and fix in place on the card front using dimensionals.
Add a few rhinestones and then the card is finished, simple, quick and easy.
Please hop on over and see what my very talented colleagues have made too.
