Hi Everyone,
Today's card is for the Ink Stamp Share Showcase Blog Hop and you may have arrived at my blog from Stacy's, if so welcome. Today I am showcasing what has been one of my favourite stamp sets - So Sentimental and a favourite DSP - True Love, both of which are retiring very soon. So I thought I would use some of my favourite combinations, black and white with a pop of colour in a favourite layout to show them off. Let me show you how I made it.
Materials
1 piece of mango melody card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
3 pieces of basic black card 1 3/4" x 3 7/8" and a scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and a scrap for the sentiment
3 pieces of True Love dsp 1 1/2" x 3 5/8" and a 1/2" strip for the inside
Mango melody ink
So Sentimental stamp set
Stitched So Sweetly dies
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Instructions
On the long side, score the mango melody card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make a landscape card base.
Adhere the dsp layers to the basic black leaving equal borders all around the edges.
Add the matted layers to the card front leaving equal borders around and between them.
Stamp the sentiment in mango melody ink on the scrap of basic white and then die cut that and the black mat layer using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. Layer them together with adhesive and then add to the card front using dimensionals.
Add the 1/2" strip of dsp to the remaining white layer and then add on the inside of the card.
This is a really quick and simple layout that looks great in any colour and with any dsp, it's really good for showcasing small pieces of dsp (either to make your stash go further or to use up your scraps). I hope that you like it and will give it a try.
