Triple Layer Stamping - Beauty Abounds

 Hi Everyone,

In the run up to the new Annual Catalogue launch, I am trying to use some of the retiring stamp sets and the outgoing In-Colours before they are gone forever.  Today I have made a card using the triple layer technique and used the Beauty Abounds stamp set in Seaside Spray (retiring) and Night of Navy. I've also used part of the Butterfly Beauty Dies to cut out the butterfly in silver foil.  Let me show you how I did it.

Materials

1 piece of thick basic white 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", 1 piece 3 1/2" x 5 1/4", 1 piece 2 3/4" x 4 1/2"
1 piece of night of navy card 3 5/8" x 5 3/8", 1 piece 2 7/8" x 4 5/8"
Scrap of silver foil
Night of navy ink
Seaside spray ink
Beauty Abounds stamp set
Butterfly Beauty dies
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Multipurpose adhesive
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Stamp + Seal

Instructions

On the long side score the thick white at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Open out the card base and lay it flat on your table, using a little dab of stamp + seal in the middle, stack the other two white layers on the top being careful to leave equal borders all around.

Stamp your design making sure that some of the images cross over some or all of the layers all the way around.  When you are happy with the design, carefully separate the layers.

Mount each white layer on top of a night of navy layer and then layer them up on the card being careful to line up the images.

I have die cut just one of the butterflies from the large die set by running it through the machine with just a scrap of silver foil under the butterfly I wanted. You will have to trim it a little bit because it will be connected to one of the others but that is easy to do.  Add the butterfly to the top layer.
