Pretty Perennials - Colour Combo Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

Today's card was made for the Colour Combo Blog Hop for April.  I've done some background stamping and then added lots of pretty die cuts in coloured card stock and the Subtles dsp stack and added a few pearls.  Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of so saffron card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of old olive card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1 piece of basic white card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and 1 piece 3 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Scraps of Subtles dsp stack
Scraps of old olive, cherry cobbler and so saffron card stock for the flowers and leaves
Cherry Cobbler ink
Old Olive ink
Basic jewel pearls
Multipurpose adhesive
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Pretty Perennials stamp set
Perennial Petals dies
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder

Instructions

On the long side, score the so saffron card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make a card base.

Adhere the old olive mat layer leaving an equal border around the edge.

Stamp some of the large flowers in cherry cobbler (1st and 2nd generation stamping) in the bottom left hand corner of the basic white. Stamp the 'happy' and the 'birthday' in the top right hand corner using cherry cobbler and old olive.

Die cut a selection of  so saffron flowers from the dsp stack and the outline stamps in cherry cobbler, so saffron and old olive.

Arrange the flowers and leaves over the stamped images, adhering some directly and adding some on dimensionals.  Add pearls to the flower centres.

Stamp a design and sentiment on the remaining piece of white card if required and adhere inside the card.

I hope that you like my card and will give it a try.
