Dandelion Wishes Sympathy Card

Hi Everybody,

Those of you who follow me will know that I regularly show you projects that are challenges.  Sometimes it's colours, sometimes a particular product and sometimes it's a sketch.  I do lots of challenges with two of my crafty friends - Taffycrafting (Donna Lester) and Vickieloudesigns (Victoria Littlewood) and we have a regular weekly one called Share it on a Sunday. Well, now Donna has challenged us to do some sketch challenges over the next few weeks to keep our creative mojo going and I'm going to use them as a chance to show you new products as well as some old favourites that I haven't used for a while.  So, here goes with my Challenge 4, I hope that you like it.

Materials

1 piece of Highland Heather card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" and 1 piece 2" x 4"
1 piece of In Good Taste dsp (I have used the white brick one) 3 3/4" x 5"
1 piece of subtles dsp in Highland Heather 1 1/4" x 4 1/8"
1 1/2" whisper white circle and 1 piece 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" for the inside
Gorgeous grape ink
Dandelion Wishes stamp set
Prized Peony stamp set
Multipurpose adhesive
Sponge daubers
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder

Instructions

Score the large piece of highland heather at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make a card base.

Randomly stamp the dandelion petals (can't remember what these are called, but you know what I mean) all over the dsp layer in gorgeous grape.  Then adhere this layer centrally to the card front.

Stamp a few of the dandelion petals (?) on the inside whisper white layer and add a sentiment in gorgeous grape. Adhere to the inside.

Stamp one of the dandelions on the highland heather mat, it will go over the edge so make sure to have some scrap paper underneath.  Using a sponge dauber, just go around the edges of this mat to give a bit more definition.  Add to the card front with dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment on the 1 1/2" circle and daub the edges of that too and then add to the card using dimensionals.

Using sketches is a great way to restart your mojo and give you ideas.  You could make this layout in any number of different combinations, why don't you give it a try.
