CASEING Karen - Simple Thank You Card Updated

 Hi Everyone,

I've been looking through my Blog archive and thought it might be fun to recreate some of the projects that I have made before but bring them up to date with new dsp and stamp sets and dies. This card was the first one that I ever blogged, back in August 2018 and I still like it. It was using Melon Mambo (one of my all time favourites), the Brights DSP Stack and one of the Daisy stamp sets and punches.

Click on the link below to see the original and don't judge me haha, I hope I've come a long way since then XX

Original project

So I've changed the colour, the stamp sets and used a die instead of a punch but it's a similar design. This is one of those designs that you could use in any colour, with any stamp set or set of dies and get a totally different look each time.

Materials

1 piece of thick basic white card 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of gorgeous grape card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1 piece of Brights dsp in gorgeous grape 2" x 5 5/8"
Scraps of basic white for the die cuts
Memento black ink
Gorgeous Grape ink
Highland Heather Stampin' Blends
Color & Contour stamp set
Ornate Thanks stamp set
Scalloped Contour dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Basic Rhinestones

Instructions

On the long side score the thick white card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make a card base.

Adhere the dsp strip to the left hand side of the gorgeous grape card and then adhere to the card front.

Stamp three flowers on a scrap of basic white using memento black ink and die cut them and the smallest rectangle from the scalloped ontour dies.

Colour in the flowers with the Stampin' Blends and stamp the sentiment on the rectangle using gorgeous grape ink.

Add the sentiment to the card front at the bottom in the centre and then arrange the three flowers above, over the join between the dsp and card. Add some rhinestones to the flower centres and sprinkle some on the card front.

Stamp another sentiment on the inside or decorate with another flower but don't colour with the Blends because it will seep through the card base, it would be better to just have an outline.
