Hi Everyone,
Today I thought I would CASE a project from the Mini Catalogue, I have chosen a card which is on page 47 and features the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set and the Intricate Leaves dies. I have changed the colours and the sentiment. Let me show you how I made it.
Materials
1 piece of soft succulent card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", 1 piece 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1 piece of Tidings of Christmas dsp 3 1/2" x 4 1/2"
1 piece of basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1 3" piece of gold foil
Scraps of basic white and soft succulent for stamping and die cuts
Art Gallery stamp set
Floral gallery dies
Soft succulent ink
Evening evergreen ink
Layering circle dies
Intricate leaf dies
Gorgeous Leaves stamp set
Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine
Scalloped contour dies
Gold twine
Dimensionals
Mini glue dots
Simply Scored
Bone folder
Trimmer
Multipurpose adhesive
Instructions
On the long side score the soft succulent at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.
Put the smaller piece of soft succulent on the simply scored and score at 1/2", 3/4", 1 1/4", 1 1/2", 2", 2 1/4", 2 3/4", 3", 3 1/2", 3 3/4" on the short side. Then turn and put the long side to the top and score as for the short side but then carry on at 4 1/4", 4 1/2", 5", 5 1/4". This makes a grid pattern of score lines across this mat layer. Turn this piece over so that the bumps are to the top and add to the card front with multipurpose adhesive.
On a scrap of basic white stamp the sentiment in evening evergreen. Stamp the larger leaf in evening evergreen and the long thin one in soft succulent.
Die cut the 2nd largest scalloped rectangle from the dsp and then cut a 2 1/2" circle from the gold foil. Die cut the two stamped leaves using the Intricate Leaves dies and the then cut one of the smaller leaves from the soft succulent card. Die cut the sentiment using the long label from the Floral Gallery dies.
Add the dsp layer on dimensionals to the card front and then adhere the gold circle towards the top of it. Bunch up the three leaves and add with dimensionals to the gold circle and then tie a bow around the stems using the gold twine and secure with a mini glue dot.
Stamp a sentiment and/or decorate the remaining basic white layer and add to the inside of the card.
I do hope that you like my card, check out the original in the mini catalogue.
