Hi Everyone,
Today I am hopping with the Stamping With Friends group and we are making Christmas Gifts. I have made a set of 4 cards and envelopes to go in a box with a sliding sleeve. I think this will make a lovely gift for a friends or a co-worker or even a Teacher's gift. I was inspired by images from Pinterest. Let me show you how I made it.
Materials
1 piece of evening evergreen card 10" x 6 1/2", 1 piece 10 1/8" x 6 5/8", 4 pieces 3 3/4" square
4 pieces of basic white card 4" x 8", 4 pieces 3 1/2" square, scrap for the sentiment
2 pieces of Ever Eden dsp 4 3/8" x 4 1/2", 1 piece 3/4" x 4 1/2"
4 envelopes
Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine
Eden dies
Eden's garden stamp set
Evening Evergreen ink
Garden gems
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Instructions for cards
On the long side, score each piece of basic white at 4"and fold and burnish to make the card bases. (You could also use pre scored, bought card bases if you prefer).
Adhere the evening evergreen mat layer to the card fronts.
Stamp the large floral image on all 4 square white mats and add a sentiment underneath and to the right as shown. Adhere this stamped layer to the card front.
Instructions for the box
On both pieces of evening evergreen, on the long side, score at 4 1/2" and 5 1/2", then turn and score at 1" from either side. Fold and burnish all the score lines.
With the card in landscape, cut up the score lines along the bottom and top to the first horizontal line and wedge in on the squares to make tabs.
Add the dsp layers to the font and back and to the spine of the larger of the two pieces.
Both pieces of the box fold in the same way, fold in the centre to make the box shape and then bring in one of the longer flaps and adhere the underside of the tab to it, then fold in the other long layer and glue the side closed. By gluing the tab between the two layers, the box won't get caught on the inside as you slide it in and out. Repeat with the other side and you have a sleeve. Put the cards and envelopes inside the plain one and then slide inside the decorated one.
Die cut the fancy label from the Eden dies in basic white and stamp the sentiment in evening evergreen. Add to the front of the box on dimensionals. Add a couple of the garden gems to the label and it's finished, I do hope that you like it.
Please make sure that you pop over and see what everyone else has made, I am sure there will be lots of fabulous ideas for crafty gifts for Christmas. Enjoy !!
