Tidings of Christmas - CASEing Kim - Stamp N Hop Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

The theme this month is to 'CASE each other' and I have chosen a card made by my crafty friend Kim Price a couple of months ago from a sketch challenge. Kim used Peaceful Places for her card and I've swapped it up to use Tidings of Christmas and the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. There is a link below to Kim's original blog post and the sketch.

Kim's Card

Materials

1 piece of evening evergreen card 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of silver foil 3" x 5 7/8", 1 piece 1 1/2" x 4 1/8", scraps for the stars
1 piece of dsp 2 3/4" x 5 7/8", a 3" diameter circle and scraps to punch out two trees
1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and a scrap for the sentiment
Layering circle dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Pine Tree Punch
Stars Punch
Poinsettia Petals stamp set
Cherry Cobbler ink
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Paper snips

Instructions

On the long side score the green card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Adhere the dsp strip to the silver foil ad then add to the card front. Lay the other silver foil strip across the card front, towards the bottom.

Die cut the circle from a contrasting dsp and add to the card front in the position shown.

Punch out two trees in a contrasting dsp and also two stars to decorate the trees.  Add the trees on dimensionals as shown and add the stars to the top of them.

Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of white as well as the remaining larger piece of white for the inside. Adhere the large piece on the inside of the card and trim down the smaller one and flag the ends with paper snips and add with dimensional to the silver strip below the trees.

I hope that you like my quick and simple version of Kim's card, please pop over to the hop and see what everyone else has been up to.
