Instructions

Score the largest piece of old olive card on the long side at 6 1/4" and the smaller one at 4 1/4", fold and burnish both pieces to make the card bases. These cards fit inside each other and open in opposite directions, see the picture.

I have used contrasting pieces of the designer series paper because I had to make 6 of them for my swaps so I was trying to minimise the amount of dsp that I used but you could use all the same if you wanted to.  I have adhered the largest one to the back piece of the larger card base and the 2 7/8" one to the front of the flap attached to that one (see picture).  Then the 3" x 4" piece of dsp goes on the front of the smaller card, remember that this slides inside the larger one and opens in the other direction.

I have stamped a sentiment from the poinsettia Petals on the 3" x 4" piece of very vanilla for the inside of the smaller card in old olive ink and adhered in place.  Then I stamped the medium poinsettia on the other piece of very vanilla and adhered it to the inside front flap of the larger card.

From the red velvet paper die cut one large and one small poinsettia flower, I have used the embossing piece inside the frame so that my petals have veins like the real flowers.  Then I have die cut one each of the two holly leaves in the same way, with the embossing piece inside the frame.  Finally, I have die cut two of the berry sprigs and the centre of the flower from the gold foil.

To put the flower together, I have used wet glue to add the medium flower to the larger one, offsetting the petals.  Then I added the flower centre with a mini glue dot.  I arranged the holly leaves to the back of the flower and adhered to the flower with wet glue.  Then I added two dimensionals to the back of the flower and stuck the stems of the berry stems to those before sticking the whole flower to the front of the smaller opening card front.

Then I stamped the sentiment in real red ink on a scrap of very vanilla and punched out with the Classic Label punch and adhered to the card front with wet glue.
