Those of you who follow me will know that I regularly show you projects that are challenges. Sometimes it's colours, sometimes a particular product and sometimes it's a sketch. I do lots of challenges with two of my crafty friends - Taffycrafting (Donna Lester) and Vickieloudesigns (Victoria Littlewood) and we have a regular weekly one called Share it on a Sunday. Well, now Donna has challenged us to do some sketch challenges over the next few weeks to keep our creative mojo going and I'm going to use them as a chance to show you new products as well as some old favourites that I haven't used for a while. So, here goes with my Challenge 20 of #33, I hope that you like it.
Materials
1 piece of highland heather card stock 8 1/4" x 5 7/8" and 1 scrap for the label
2 pieces of whisper white card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 3/4" x 3 7/8" and a scrap for the sentiment layer
1 piece of purple posy linen ribbon 5"
Highland heather ink
Forever Fern stamp set
Life is Beautiful stamp set
2 pieces of dsp 1 7/8" x 5 3/8" (Feels Like Frost)
Stitched So Sweetly dies
Die cutting machine
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Tear n Tape
Instructions
Score the highland heather card stock at 4 1/8" on the long side and fold and burnish to make the card base.
Adhere the two strips of dsp to one of the pieces of whisper white card leaving a small border between them and around the edges.
Add the whisper white strip across the middle and adhere the ribbon to the centre of the strip using tear n tape and secure on the back.
Adhere this layer to the card front leaving a small border around the edges.
Die cut a whisper white and highland heather rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies and then stamp the image from Forever Fern on the whisper white layer with the highland heather ink (I've done second generation stamping for this). Then stamp the sentiment from Life is Beautiful over the top at full strength. Glue the two layers together and add to the centre of the card front using dimensionals.
Add the other whisper white layer to the inside of the card.
Why don't you give the sketch a try, you can use whatever you want and it will be a unique card.
