Share it on a Sunday - Monochrome Thank You Card

 Hi Everyone,

It's Share it on a Sunday and this week Donna has chosen a 'Monochrome' theme so I have made some Thank You cards for my Customers. I've used a sketch challenge and several different colours to show you how you can easily make sets of cards that are the same but different.  I hope that you like them and will give them a try, there is a link to a video tutorial below, just click on the link.  At the bottom of the blog you will see links to Donna and Victoria's projects too, please pop over there and have a look at what they have made too.

Materials

I'm only giving the recipe for one card, you choose your favourite colours.

1 piece of basic grey card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
2 pieces of whisper white card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 2 1/4" x 3" and 1 piece 1/2" x 5 5/8"
1 piece of silver foil 2 1/2" x 3 1/4"
1 piece of basic grey dsp (Neutrals collection) 3 5/8" x 5 3/8"
So Sentimental stamp set
Basic Grey ink
Wrapped in Texture embossing folders
Cut and Emboss machine
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder

Instructions

Score the large piece of basic grey at 4 1/8" on the long side and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Cut the dsp at 1 1/2" on the short side to give you two pieces and adhere to one of the whisper white mat layers leaving a border round the outer edges, flip one of the pieces over so that you show both sides.

Emboss the 1/2" strip of whisper white and the 2 1/2" x 3 1/4" rectangle of silver foil using the Wrapped in Texture folders, on this card I have used only one.

Adhere the 1/2" strip on top of the dsp covering the join in the papers.

Stamp the sentiment and decoration on the smaller whisper white rectangle and on the layer for the inside if required. I've added a 1/2" strip of the dsp on this one instead.

Adhere the inside layer and then add the sentiment layer to the embossed piece with dimensionals and then adhere to the card front at an angle as in the picture.

Sketch challenges are great fun and have endless possibilities, why don't you give this one a try.
