Back to School Stationery Box

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am taking part in a Blog Hop with the Crafty Blog Hop Group and the theme is 'Back to School' so I have made a little stationery box with the new Mini Paper Pumpkin boxes and filled it with bits and bobs for my Grandaughter Charlotte in her favourite colours.  Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 mini paper pumpkin box
1 piece of magenta madness card stock 5 1/2" x 3 5/2" (for the box lid), 1 piece 6 3/8" x 3 1/16" for the post it pad and 1 piece 5" x 3 1/4" for the notepad and 3 x 1 1/4" circles
3 silver foil 2" circles
1 piece of dsp (Flowers for Every Season) 5 1/4" x 3 3/8" (for the box lid), 1 piece 2 7/8" square ( for the post it pad). 1 piece 3 7/8" x 3 1/8" (for the notepad) and some small scraps for the pen, eraser and clip
Monogram messages stamp set
Magenta Madness ink
2" circle punch
2 1/4" circle punch
Multipurpose adhesive
Tear and tape
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder

Instructions

Box - fit the box together, just fold along all the score lines with the shiny side on the inside and fold the flaps in to fasten in place.  Adhere the magenta madness piece to the top using wet glue and then add the dsp layer leaving a small border all the way around the edges.

Post it pad - the pad that I have used is less than 1/4" thick so it was easier to just fold the card stock around it and then burnish the folds. Adhere the pad to the inside and then add the dsp layer to the front leaving a small border all around the edges.

Notepad - Lay the notepad face down towards the bottom edge of the card stock but leaving about 1/16" visible below the edge of the pad.  Fold the card up against the top edge and burnish, then fold over the top and burnish again. This will fold the card stock around the top of the pad.  Add some tear n tape to the end that will go on the back of the pad and fix in place.

Pen - The pen that I have used is a Mini Z grip and measures about 4" in length.  The clear barrel at the top is 1 1/2" so I cut a piece of dsp that width x enough to wrap around the pen with an overlap (approx 1 3/4").I added tear n tape to both ends of the inside of this piece of dsp and wrapped it around the barrel and overlapped the end in place.

Eraser - This one is 1 1/2" x 3/8", I wrapped a piece of scrap dsp around the eraser, added some tear n tape to the end and fixed in place.  This will slide on and off if required.

Clip - This one is approx 1" and a matching pink colour, I have wrapped a 3/4" strip around the two sides and the bottom and fixed with wet glue.

Decoration - I have stamped the letter 'C' from the Monogram Messages stamp set in magenta madness on some whisper white card stock and then punched out with a 2" circle punch. I then stamped a few tiny flowers around the sides and added to a 2 1/4" circle of silver foil.  I made three of these and attached one to the box lid, one to the post it pad and one to the notepad.

I hope that you like this project and will give it a try, I had great fun making it for my Grandaughter.
