Personalised Desk Post it Holder - 3D Thursday

 Hi Everyone,

Today I have been playing with the Alphabest stamp set and the Brights DSP stack and made a cute post it holder for my Grandaughter, she loves stationery. It's quick and easy to make and I have personalised it with her name to make it a bit more special. You could make these as gifts for your work team, or your customers and they make great teacher gifts too. Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of poppy parade card stock 4 1/2" x 6 1/2", 1 piece 4 1/4" x 3" and 1 piece 2 1/2" x 5"
1 piece of dsp 4 x 2 3/4", 1 piece 4" x 2 1/4", 1 piece 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Scrap of basic white and poppy parade for sentiment/name/stopper
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Paper Snips
Multipurpose adhesive
Alphabest stamp set
Poppy Parade ink
Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side of the largest piece of card, score at 2" and 4", fold and burnish. This is the base of the holder and forms the easel.

On the 2 1/2" x 5" piece, score on the long side at 1/2" and 4 1/2" and then turn to the short side and score at 1", 1 1/2". Fold and burnish the score lines and cut up the tabs on the short side. This piece forms the holder so the back and front come up and the longer tabs on the side fold in with the small tab in between (see picture of the side).

Adhere the dsp to the 4 1/4" x 3" piece of card and add this to the front section of the easel as shown in the picture. Then adhere the box to the front of this and add the dsp to the front section of that (see picture).

Add the remaining dsp to the base section as shown.

Now we need to make a stopper to prop the easel in the upright position.  I've used a scrap of basic white and stamped my Grandaughters name in poppy parade ink and then adhered this to a scrap of card stock to trimmed.  Add dimensionals to the back and position in the centre of the base about 1/2" from the front and then the upright will stand behind it. Obviously, the size of the stopper will depend on the length of the recipients name.

Add a post it pad and a small pen and the gift is complete. I hope that you like it and will give it a try. It looks great in any colour, with any dsp so the combinations are endless, have fun!
