Hi Everyone,
The theme this month is 'New Year' and with the New Year in the Stampin' Up world, comes a new Mini Catalogue. I wanted to show off the beautiful panels in the Dainty Flowers designer series paper which is FREE during Sale-a-Bration (with a £45 purchase). I designed a book mark to send to my customers along with their new catalogues using the panels and added in the Eden dies and the Basic Border dies to decorate the edges rather than leave them plain. I hope that they like them and that you do too.
Materials
1 piece of old olive card stock 3" x 7"
1 piece of thick basic white 3" x 7"
Scrap of basic white for stamping
1 panel from the Dainty Flowers dsp trimmed to 2" x 6"
Scrap of old olive ribbon
Old olive ink
Charming Sentiments stamp set
Sentiment Silhouette dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Eden dies
Basic Border dies
Multipurpose adhesive
Hole punch (not SU)
Instructions
Using the Eden edge die run the piece of old olive card through the machine twice so that the decorative edge is on both sides of the book mark. This will leave a piece at the top that isn't cut - you need this for the ribbon to be attached.
Adhere the old olive piece to the basic white lining up the edges (I've done this to protect the decorative edge and also to show it off better.
Place the Border die across the top of the book mark to give a pointed shape (see picture of finished item) and run this through the machine.
Punch a hole in the top of this and thread through the ribbon and trim the ends so they don't fray.
Stamp a sentiment on a scrap in old olive and then run this through the machine using the appropriate silhouette die.
Then adhere the dsp panel to the centre front of the book mark and it's complete.
