Dainty Flowers Book Mark - InspireINK Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

The theme this month is 'New Year' and with the New Year in the Stampin' Up world, comes a new Mini Catalogue. I wanted to show off the beautiful panels in the Dainty Flowers designer series paper which is FREE during Sale-a-Bration (with a £45 purchase). I designed a book mark to send to my customers along with their new catalogues using the panels and added in the Eden dies and the Basic Border dies to decorate the edges rather than leave them plain. I hope that they like them and that you do too.

Materials

1 piece of old olive card stock 3" x 7"
1 piece of thick basic white 3" x 7"
Scrap of basic white for stamping
1 panel from the Dainty Flowers dsp trimmed to 2" x 6"
Scrap of old olive ribbon
Old olive ink
Charming Sentiments stamp set
Sentiment Silhouette dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Eden dies
Basic Border dies
Multipurpose adhesive
Hole punch (not SU)

Instructions

Using the Eden edge die run the piece of old olive card through the machine twice so that the decorative edge is on both sides of the book mark.  This will leave a piece at the top that isn't cut - you need this for the ribbon to be attached.

Adhere the old olive piece to the basic white lining up the edges (I've done this to protect the decorative edge and also to show it off better.

Place the Border die across the top of the book mark to give a pointed shape (see picture of finished item) and run this through the machine.

Punch a hole in the top of this and thread through the ribbon and trim the ends so they don't fray.

Stamp a sentiment on a scrap in old olive and then run this through the machine using the appropriate silhouette die.

Then adhere the dsp panel to the centre front of the book mark and it's complete.

Gingham Cottage With Eden's Garden - Stampin' Birds Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

For this months Blog Hop, I have brought out an old favourite - Eden's Garden - and teamed it with a new one - Gingham Cottage, I love gingham dsp, it's so useful and pretty, it goes with all sorts of sets and makes lovely cards. I've brought out the Mint Macaron too, a colour I don't often play with, I hope you like my card and please make sure to follow the links and see what the rest of the Team have made too.

Materials

1 piece of mint macaron card 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scrap for the label
2 pieces of basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of Gingham Cottage dsp 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
Mint macaron ink
Eden's Garden stamp set
Eden dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Double Oval Punch
Basic Rhinestones
Soft succulent ribbon
Paper Snips
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Mini Glue Dots

Instructions

On the long side score the mint card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Adhere the dsp to the card front.

Run the large wreath die through the machine using one of the pieces of basic white and then add this to the card front as shown.

Die cut a label using mint card. It was too long for what I needed so I chopped out the middle section.

Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of white and punch out with the scalloped oval punch. Add the two ends of the label at either side of the oval and then add to the card front using dimensionals.

Stamp a sentiment and a floral image on the remaining basic white piece and add to the inside of the card.

Tie a small bow and add to the bottom of the oval using mini glue dots.

Sprinkle some rhinestones and the card is complete.

Ever Eden - Eden's Garden Card - Get Your DSP before it retires!

 Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to use up the beautiful Ever Eden designer series paper, it's so pretty but will only be around until the end of December which is a shame.  I saw a Canadian Demonstrator (Tina Zinck) make this card and I thought it was so pretty, I should CASE it, so I have. Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of soft succulent card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", 1 piece 1 1/4" x 3 7/8"
1 piece of basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", scraps for stamping
1 piece of Ever Eden dsp 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 3" x 3"
Scrap of gold foil for the leaves
Soft succulent ink
Evening Evergreen ink
Eden's Garden stamp set
Eden dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine
Stamperatus
Garden gems
Paper snips
12" of evening evergreen ribbon
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Mini glue dots
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Sponge dauber

Instructions

On the long side score the soft succulent card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Stamp some leaves down both long sides of the basic white layer and adhere to the inside.

Stamp the sentiment in evening evergreen on a 1/2" strip of basic white and trim as shown in the picture.

Using the Stamperatus (or other stamping platform) stamp the large floral image in soft succulent on a scrap of basic white. I inked this up twice to get a strong image.  Then using a sponge dauber and evening evergreen ink, highlight just the berries (you could use a Stampin Write Marker) and stamp again.  Fussy cut this image.

Die cut three leaves from the Eden dies using gold foil.

Adhere the large dsp layer to the card front and then add the 3" square towards the top leaving equal borders on 3 sides as shown.

Add the cut out image using dimensionals to the centre of the 3" square and tuck in the gold leaves around it. Add 3 gems to the berries in the centre of the image.

Wrap the ribbon around the centre of the strip of soft succulent leangthwise and secure on the back with sticky tape. Adhere this to the card front as shown.  Add the sentiment to the left side of this section and then tie a small bow and add to the sideof the sentiment on top of the ribbon using mini glue dots.

I think this is a really pretty card and the layout is one that could be used again and again with all sorts of different papers and stamp sets, why don't you give it a try.
