Flowering Fields Tryptic Card - Creative Colour Challenges #

 Hi Everyone,

Today I thought I would have a go at my friend Victoria's latest colour challenge. The colours are Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzazz and Rich Razzleberry and I've also just received my pre-order from the new January - June Mini Catalogue with some of the beautiful Flowering Fields dsp which is full of brightly coloured tulips, some of which are rich razzleberry and the background is pear pizzazz. I've added a balmy blue card base and an embossed layer using the fabulous Gingham Embossing Folder - I love it. Let me show you what I did.

Materials

1 piece of balmy blue card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scrap for the sentiment
2 pieces of basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of dsp (Flowering Fields) 3" x 4 1/2" cut into 3 equal strips 1 1/2" wide
Scrap of bumblebee gingham ribbon (shouldn't really be there but I thought it needed something)
Rich Razzleberry ink
Celebrating You stamp set
Double Oval Punch
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Multipurpose Adhesive
Dimensionals
Gingham Embossing Folder
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Instructions

On the long side score the balmy blue at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Run one piece of the basic white through the machine in the embossing folder.

Arrange the dsp on the embossed layer and adhere in place leaving equal gaps all around.

Lay a piece of ribbon across the top and secure on the back with sticky tape.

Adhere the embossed layer to the card front.

Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of basic white and punch out with the smaller of the oval punches and then punch a layering one from the balmy blue scrap, layer up and add to the card front in the centre of the card, at the bottom and over the ribbon.

Stamp a sentiment on the remaining piece of basic white and add to the inside of the card.

There you are, a quick and simple card. What would you make for Victoria's challenge?
