Vine Designs - Stampin Birds Colour Challenge

 Hi Everyone,

Another colour challenge today - seems to have been a lot of them lately but it's a great way to get your crafty mojo moving if it's a bit stuck. Sometimes it's the colours that at first you think - eeeww no, that actually turn out to be a great combination. Give it a try, you never know.  Todays combination was set by a member of the Stampin' Birds Team and she chose

Instructions

On the long side score the grey card stock at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make a portrait card base.

Adhere the shaded spruce mat layer and then the basic white smaller layer leaving equal borders all around them.

Stamp 8 of the small flowers on a scrap of melon mambo card with melon mambo ink and punch them out with the small blooms punch.

Die cut the circular lacy die using the scrap of shaded spruce and die cut two small rectangles, one to stamp on and one larger one as a layer.

Adhere the lacy circular die cut towards the top of the basic white layer on the front of the card.

Mould the flowers to give them a little shape and then add them over the floral images in the die cut, offsetting the petals so that you can see the green ones behind the flower. I used mini dimensionals.  Add a rhinestone to the centre of each flower.

Stamp the sentiment on the basic white rectangle and then adhere to the grey layer and mount on the card front with dimensionals.  Add a rhinestone.

Stamp some flowers on the remaining basic white layer and adhere to the inside of the card.

Why don't you give this colour challenge a go?  It's fun.
