Good Morning Magnolia Wedding Card - Crafty Collaborations Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am hopping with the Crafty Collaborators Group and the Technique for this month is 'Die Cutting' which can add so much to a card.  I have brought out an old favourite for my card today and made a wedding card with the beautiful Good Morning Magnolia Suite.  It's lovely to have new products and new catalogues but there are so many beautiful things in the Annual Catalogue, it's a shame not to use them.  Let me show you how I made this card.

Materials

1 piece of so saffron card stock 5 3/4" x 11 1/2", 1 piece 5" square
1 piece of very vanilla card stock 5 1/2" square and 1 piece 5 1/4" square
Scraps of very vanilla, bumblebee and old olive card for the die cuts
Stampin Cut and Emboss Machine
Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder
Magnolia Memory Dies
Stitched So Sweetly Dies
Good Morning Magnolia stamp set
Old Olive ink
Basic pearls
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder

Instructions

Score the so saffron card on the long side at 5 3/4" and fold and burnish to make a square card.

Run the 5" square of so saffron through the die cutting machine in the 3D Magnolia embossing folder.  Adhere this layer to the very vanilla mat layer and then add them to the card front leaving equal borders all the way around on both layers.

Die cut 1 of each of the sets of 3 petals in very vanilla, 3 of the larger leaves in old olive and both sizes of the stamen in bumblebee.  Curl the edges of the petals with a bone folder to give the flower some shape (you can also do this with a ball tool by rubbing it in a circular motion over each petal in turn).  Layer the flower together and add both sets of stamens in the centre, offsetting each layer as you go from largest to smallest.  Add dimensionals to the back of the flower and attach it to the bottom left corner of the card front.  Add adhesive to the petals and tuck them in around the flower.

Stamp a sentiment on the layer of very vanilla for the inside and add some flowers then add to the inside of the card.  Stamp the sentiment for the front on a scrap of very vanilla and die cut with the smallest stitched scalloped rectangle die.  Add this to the card front at the top right using dimensionals.

Add some pearls to the card front and to the centre of the attached flower.

I hope that you like my card and will give it a try.  Please hop along and see what the other contributors have made, you are sure to be inspired by these very talented crafters.
