True Love Perennial Petals Colour Challenge Card

 Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a pretty birthday card following a colour challenge

SUOC#269 - Colour challenge

with one of my all time favourite colours - melon mambo, combined with black, white and silver foil.  I've used some new products from the January-June Mini Catalogue as well as from the Annual Catalogue. Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of melon mambo card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of silver foil 4" x 5 3/4"
1 piece of True Love dsp 3 3/4" x 5 1/2"
1 piece of basic white card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
Scraps of basic black, melon mambo and basic white card stock
Matt black dots
Perennial Petals dies
Stitched So Sweetly dies
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Small bloom punch
Vine Design stamp set
Melon Mambo ink
Confetti Flowers Border punch
Multipurpose adhesive
Mini dimensionals
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone folder

Instructions

On the long side, score the melon mambo card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make a landscape card.

Adhere the dsp layer to the silver foil and add to the front of the card using dimensionals.

Die cut some leaves and flower outlines using scraps of basic black card and the two sentiment layers with melon mambo and basic white card.

Punch out two flowers with the small bloom punch and several with the confetti flowers punch, all in melon mambo card.

Stamp a sentiment and a couple of tiny flowers on the basic white mat layer and adhere to the melon mambo one, add to the card front using dimensionals.

Arrange the leaves and flowers around the sentiment layer and add matt black dots to the centre of the flowers.

Adhere the remaining white layer to the inside of the card to write your message.

Quick a simple card using some pretty die cuts.

  1. Wow Karen love your card. Love how you've used the flower outlines and then made them pop with the smaller flower on top using melon mambo. And all of the smaller confetti flowers just make the whole card pop with colour. Thankyou so much for participating in the SUO challenge hope to see you on the next one x Natalie Arnold
