Hi Everyone,
Today I have made a birthday card for the Pootlers Blog Hop, the theme was to showcase products from the new January - June Mini Catalogue. I have combined the new with some from the Annual Catalogue too. Let me show you how I made this card.
Materials
1 piece of gorgeous grape card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and a scrap for the sentiment
3 pieces of highland heather card stock 1 5/8" x 3 1/2"
1 piece of designer series paper 4 1/2" wide x 3 3/8" long, then split this into 3 x 1 1/2" strips
Gorgeous grape sheer ribbon
Basic rhinestones
Gorgeous grape ink
Story Label punch
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Mini dimensionals
Oval Occasions stamp set
Heart to Heart stamp set
Instructions
On the long side score the gorgeous grape card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make a landscape card base.
Adhere the three pieces of dsp to the three pieces of highland heather card leaving a tiny border all around the edges. Arrange the three pieces so that the dsp lines up across the three and adhere them in place leaving equal borders on the card front.
Tie a piece of the ribbon around the card and tie a bow on the right hand side.
For the sentiment, I have used the outline stamp from Heart to Heart and then the Happy Birthday from the Oval Occasions and then punched it out with the story label punch. I added some little flowers and added rhinestones to the centre of the flowers. Adhere the label in place over the ribbon and on the central section of the card.
This is a quick and simple design that can be used for any occasion and with any colour or designer series paper, another one of my favourite 'go to' layouts. I hope that you like it.
