Scrap Busting Post it Notes - Share it on a Sunday

Hi Everyone,

A quick and easy project today, pretty little post it note pads to sit on your desk, by the side of the phone or in your handbag or to give as teacher gifts, co-worker gifts or thank you gifts.  They take minimal amounts of card and dsp so great for using up scraps too. Check out what Donna and Victoria have made today, the links are at the end of my blog.  Let me show you how I made these, you can also check out the video tutorial over on my YouTube channel, click on the link below:

Materials

1 piece of card stock 3 1/4" x 8" (You can get 3 of these from one sheet of A4, I've used bumblebee and magenta madness)
1 piece of dsp 3" x 1", 3" x 2 7/8" and 3" x 2 7/8" (You can get 2 lots from 1 sheet of 6 x 6)
Velcro dot
Multipurpose adhesive
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
3" x 3" post it pad
Decoration if required

Instructions

On the long side, score the card stock at 2", 2 3/8", 5 1/2" and 5 7/8", fold and burnish all the score lines.

This holder folds around the post it pad, so decide which end of it will be the bottom flap and add the 1" strip of dsp to that closest to the fold but with a small border all the way round the bottom and sides. Add the 1 7/8" strip to the other end, this will be the top flap - make sure you have the direction of the paper going in the right way.  Then adhere the largest piece to the back.

Add glue to the back of the post it pad and position inside close to the fold lines top and bottom but with a border either side.  Fold up the bottom flap and fold down the top one.  Add a velcro dot to the underside of the top flap and put the other side of it on the top of it. Then close the folder and press down on the velcro dot. The other side of it should now have transferred to the bottom fold of the holder.

You can decorate the outside of these in lots of different ways, see my photos for some examples or you can leave them plain, it's up to you, the possibilities are endless.
