Heartwarming Hugs Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Those of you who follow me will know that I regularly show you projects that are challenges.  Sometimes it's colours, sometimes a particular product and sometimes it's a sketch.  I do lots of challenges with two of my crafty friends - Taffycrafting (Donna Lester) and Vickieloudesigns (Victoria Littlewood) and we have a regular weekly one called Share it on a Sunday. Well, now Donna has challenged us to do some sketch challenges over the next few weeks to keep our creative mojo going and I'm going to use them as a chance to show you new products as well as some old favourites that I haven't used for a while.  So, here goes with my Challenge 14 of #33, I hope that you like it.

(sketch by cardztv.blogspot.com)

Materials

1 piece of real red card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" and a scrap to stamp the bow on
1 piece of gold foil 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 2 1/2" x 1 1/2", 1 piece 1 1/2" square and a 1 1/2" circle
1 piece of whisper white for the inside and a 1 3/8" circle to stamp on
2 pieces of dsp 1 7/8" x 5 3/8", 1 piece 2 3/8" x 1 3/8", 1 piece 1 3/8" square
Small piece of real red ribbon
Memento black ink
Real red ink
Gift Wrapped stamp set
Paper snips
1 1/2" circle punch
1 3/8" circle punch
Mini dimensionals
Multipurpose adhesive
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder

Instructions

Score the real red card stock at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Adhere the gold foil mat to the card front leaving a small border all around.

Wrap the piece of real red ribbon around the dsp strip going on the left hand side and secure on the back with sticky tape.  Then adhere the two long strips of dsp on top of the foil leaving a small border between and around them.  Add the other dsp layers to the other gold foil mats and arrange them on the card front as in the sketch.

Stamp a sentiment on on 1 3/8" circle using real red ink and stamp a sentiment on the whisper white layer for the inside if required before adhering it in place.

Stamp a small bow using memento black ink on the scrap of real red card and fussy cut the image with the paper snips.

Add the bow over the ribbon using dimensionals and add the sentiment to the gold foil circle with adhesive.  Then add the sentiment layers to the card front as shown using dimensionals.

Why don't you give the sketch a try, you can use whatever you want and it will be a unique card.
