Today I have made a gift card holder, the design for this has evolved from a fun fold card that I was designing and I haven't seen another one like it, so I am claiming this as my design. There is a video tutorial for this over on my YouTube channel, just click on the link below:
Materials
1 piece of garden green card stock 7" x 10 1/2"
1 piece of whisper white card stock 4 3/4" x 3 1/4"
1 piece of dsp (Heartwarming Hugs) 6 3/4" x 3 1/4", 1 piece 4 3/4" x 3 1/4" and 1 piece 3 1/4" square
Scraps of whisper white for the sentiments
Scraps of red and green foil card for the tag and the trees
Scrap of real red ribbon
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Tear n Tape
Tag topper punch
Pine Tree punch
Detailed Trio punch
Tasteful Labels dies
Die cutting machine
Real red ink
Perfectly Plaid stamp set
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone folder
Instructions
On the long side score the garden green card stock at 3 1/2" and 7" then turn 90 degrees and score at 3" to the first scoreline and 4 1/2" to the second scoreline.
You now need to remove these sections, so cut up the scorelines on the short side and then from the long side so that you have a piece that looks like the picture below.
Round off all the edges with the Detailed Trio punch.
Rounds off the corners on the dsp layers and then adhere them in place adding a whisper white layer to the back of the middle one as shown.
Add tear n tape to the back of the front layer at the bottom and on the open edge, remove the backing and fold down to make a pocket.
With the foil card, punch out two trees and a 2" x 4" tag. Add the real red ribbon to the tag and tuck inside the pocket. In the picture I have added a gold foil rectangle to the front of the tag to represent the gift card because I don't have one. Add the two trees with dimensionals to the front of the pocket leaving room for the sentiment.
On the scraps of whisper white stamp the two sentiments using real red ink and then die cut using the Tasteful Labels dies. Add to the card using dimensionals.
There you are, a quick gift card holder, give it a try in any designer series paper, doesn't have to be for Christmas.
