Playful Pets Post it Pads

Hi Everyone,

Today I've been using up some scraps from the very cute Playful Pets dsp, these will make great little gifts for teachers and co-workers as well as being great craft fair makes. Post it pads and mini notebooks are some of my best sellers at my craft fairs and I am always making them, its a great way of using up bits of dsp too. Let me show you how I made these:

Materials

1 piece of card stock 4 1/8" x 7 3/4" (I've used Real Red and Basic Black)
4" x 3" post it pads
1 piece of dsp 4" x 2 1/4" and 1 piece 4" x 1 1/4"
Scraps of coloured card stock and whisper white for the sentiment
Classic Label Punch
Real Red ink
Momento Black ink
Forever Ferns stamp set
Paper snips
Multipurpose adhesive
Velcro dots
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder

Instructions

Score the card stock on the long side at 1 1/2", 1 7/8", 4 7/8" and 5 1/4" and fold and burnish.

Fix the post it pad to the centre large section of the scored card stock so that the smaller flap comes up from the bottom and the larger one folds over from the top, I've used glue but you could use tear n tape.

Add the dsp layers to the two flaps leaving a small border all around.

Add the velcro dot so that the two layers will fasten together around the pad.

Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of whisper white using ink to match the card stock and punch out with the Classic label Punch.  Glue this layer to a scrap of coloured card stock and cut around it leaving a tiny border with your paper snips.  Adhere to the front flap of the pad,I have varied the positioning of this to avoid covering too much of the cute animals (see picture).

There you are, quick and simple gifts that everyone will love, here are some more that I have made with scraps from Artistry Blooms and Peony Garden.
