InkStampShare Special Blog Hop- Magic In This Night Swap Card

Hi Everyone,

You may have come to my page from the lovely Libby, thank you for supporting us on this Blog Hop.  I made this card for a swap for my Stampin' Birds crafty colleagues and I thought that I would use it for this Special Blog Hop to show you how fabulous this dsp can be.   I just love this new Magic in the Night dsp - not for Halloween (I don't really do Halloween) but there are lots of blacks and I think they go really well with the Magenta Madness, it really pops with it.  I've also used the new Gift Wrapped stamp set and Bow Builder punch to finish it off. Let me show you how I made it:

Materials

1 piece of magenta madness card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" and scraps for the sentiment and the bow
1 piece of silver foil card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1 piece of whisper white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" for the inside
2 pieces of dsp 1 3/4" x 5 3/8"
A piece of black glittered organdy ribbon (enough to go around the silver card mat)
Lovely You stamp set
Gift Wrapped stamp set
Bow Builder Punch
Lovely Labels Pick a Punch
Memento black ink
Magenta Madness ink
Multipurpose adhesive
Mini Dimensionals

Instructions

Score the magenta madness card on the long side at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Adhere the two pieces of dsp to the silver foil leaving a small border all around and between them.

Wrap the ribbon around this layer over the centre silver foil strip and secure on the back with some sticky tape.  Adhere this layer to the card front leaving a small border all around.

Stamp a sentiment and a flower on the whisper white layer with magenta madness ink and adhere to the inside of the card.

Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of magenta madness with black ink and trim it down to 1/2" by approx 2" and punch using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.

Stamp a bow on a scrap of magenta madness card using memento black ink and punch out with the Bow Builder punch.  Add mini dimensionals to the bow and fix to the card front over the central ribbon about 1/3rd of the way down from the top. Tuck the sentiment under the ribbon and fix with mini dimensionals.

Another quick and simple card showing that you don't need to use products just with what they appear with in the catalogue. This dsp does have bats and spiders etc but the other sides have pretty flowers and patterns. Go on and mix it all up and see what you come up with.
