Fun Fold Friday #30 - Ornate Garden Daisy Triple Stepper Card

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my Fun Fold Friday series and this week I have made a Triple Stepper card using the lovely Ornate Garden dsp, Daisy Lane and Field of Flowers stamp sets and the Forever Flourishing dies and daisy punches.  The measurement for the card base came from Mixed Up Crafts (Sam Calcott) but I have changed the dimensions of the mats and layers and the decoration is entirely my design.  There is a video tutorial over on my YouTube channel, click on the link below:

Instructions

Put the thick whisper white in the scoreboard with the short side at the top and make a pencil mark at 2 1/2" and 4 3/4" at both ends.  Join the pencil lines with a ruler.

Turn on to the long side and score at 3" and 6" just to the first drawn pencil line, then at 8" to the second pencil line.

Then score between the two pencil marks at 4" and 7" (I use a ruler to mark the spot and then hover my stylus to the starting point and then score).  Then score from the second pencil line to the bottom of the card at 5".

Put the card int he trimmer with the short side to the top and on the 2 1/2" pencil line, cut from 4" to 8", then move it over to the 4 3/4" pencil line and cut from 3" to 8".  This will give you two slits in the card base (see template).

Fold and burnish the score lines to make the steps of the card, pinch them first to start them off and then they should just fold in the correct way, see picture.

Build up the small mats and layers by adding the whisper white to the gold foil and then the dsp to the whisper white and then add to the card base leaving a small border all around.

For the long layer, do the stamping first on the whisper white, stamp the sentiment and the dragonfly in early espresso ink and then add this layer to the gold foil and then the two of them to the card front.

Stamp two small daisies and 2 large daisies using bumblebee ink and then punch them out with the two punches.  Curl the petals carefully to give some dimension and then layer them up, offsetting the petals on each layer, 2 large and then 2 small.

Die cut two of the leaf springs from the  Forever Flourishing dies with gold foil and then arrange on the back of the flower with dimensionals.  Then add the whole flower to the card front at the bottom left.

I haven't put any layers on the inside as the base is whisper white but if you use a darker colour,I would cut a mat of whisper white 2 3/4" x 6 3/4" and add to the inside to write your message.

I hope that you like this card and will give it a try.
