Feels Like Frost Poinsettia Card

Hi Everyone,

For today's card, I have used the stunning Feels Like Frost designer series paper and teamed it with the Poinsettia Petals stamp set for a really pretty Christmas card.

Materials

1 6" x 6" card base (I have used a prescored one from my stash which actually measures 5 7/8" square, but you could make your own with a piece of 5 7/8" x 11 3/4" card stock)
1 piece of Feels Like Frost dsp 5 5/8" square
Scraps of Real Red, Garden Green and Whisper White card
Poinsettia Petals stamp set
Lovely Labels Pick a Punch
Poinsettia Dies (I don't have these so I fussy cut the images)
Paper snips
Black memento ink
Real Red ink
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

Fold and burnish the card base. If you are making your own, score on the long side at 5 7/8" and then fold and burnish.

Adhere the dsp to the card front.  This dsp comes as a 6" x 6" piece and the small piece that I cut off to make it fit the front, I have added to the inside of the card for a bit of interest.

Stamp two large and two small poinsettias using black ink on real red card and two holly leaves on garden green card.  If you have the dies, then die cut them out, if not they are very easy to fussy cut with your paper snips.  Layer up the flowers, offsetting the petals, the two large and then the two small on top and glue them together in the centre. Pull up some of the petals to give the flower some dimension.  Add a dimensional to the back and position the flower in the bottom left hand corner of the card.  Tuck the holly leaves under the petals on the flower and fix them using mini dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment on a 3/4" x 4" strip of whisper white using real red ink and then punch the ends using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.  Stamp a sentiment on the inside of the card using real red ink.

There you have it a quick and easy card with a wow factor.  I hope that you like it and will give it a try.
